985 Series Constant Force Coil Window Balance
The 985 Series coil balance is a constant force replacement balance for residential and light commercial single- and double-hung windows. This type of balance uses a spring-loaded coil mechanism to counterbalance sash weight, providing consistent support as the sash moves up and down the frame.
Coil balances are commonly found in wood and vinyl double-hung windows and are preferred for applications where a clean interior appearance is needed (unlike spiral balances with visible rods).
